The 2022 Debbie Reynolds Scholarship Program is an exciting opportunity for students of all ages and levels to learn from top instructors out of Hollywood, Broadway, and worldwide, regardless of their financial status or physical location. We bring the training to you via Zoom and an opportunity for a full-ride scholarship where the cost of the program is completely covered!

The program was created to help students from all around the world who have a love and passion for the performing arts; and was inspired by our iconic founder and her philanthropic work that has raised millions of dollars for mental health awareness, as well as many other causes. Debbie truly was an angel to so many people around the world. For over forty years, Debbie Reynolds Studio has helped thousands of students pursue their dreams via scholarship programs and work-study positions. The work is not done, the legacy continues...

Acting, Dancing, Singing, and So Much More

Debbie Reynolds was truly a “triple-threat” in the entertainment industry and we believe all performers, whether interested in becoming a triple-threat or wanting to specialize in a specific performing arts genre, should have multi-disciplinary training to take their skills to the next level. For the year 2022, scholarship recipients will participate in three online classes per week, including Acting, Dance, and Vocal training with a variety of styles and techniques to ensure a well-rounded training. There will also be special masterclasses offered throughout the program that are designed to help the students prepare for and navigate a career in the entertainment industry.

Time to Show Off

At the completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to show off all your hard work and training with a virtual showcase for not only your friends and family, but also to be seen by prominent figures in the entertainment industry! How it works

You qualify to apply if you...

Are 10 years of age or older (youth and adult scholarship programs offered - exceptions for younger students may be considered)
Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced level
Are able to commit to 3 weekly classes per week
Have a computer and stable Internet along with enough space to spread your arms and legs comfortably during classes
Have a passion for the arts and are ready to commit to taking your training and commitment to a higher level!

How to Apply:

Send your submission online no later than September 30, 2021.

You will need to submit the following:

Full Name (and parent/guardian if under 18 years)
Parental Consent Form signed (if under 18 years)
Contact Information
Your Age
Photos (at least 5 photos, does not have to be professional)
Video Submission (minimum 90 seconds, maximum 3 minutes)
- Include your first name, age, state you live in, and a brief background of yourself, what your dreams are, and why this scholarship would help you.
Video Reels (optional)
Social Media pages (optional ~ so we can link to your pages when/if featuring you on the studio’s social media pages)

Application Process After Submission:

Our staff will select applicants to be featured on the Scholarship Sponsorship page on the Debbie Reynolds Studio website and applicants will be notified if they have been selected to be featured. (Even if you are not selected immediately to be a featured applicant, there is always a possibility of being added to the website if a spot opens up!)
Sponsorship Individuals and/or companies with an interest in helping students with a passion for the arts can select specific applicants to sponsor for ¼, ½, ¾, or full scholarship and/or donate funds to the General Scholarship Fund. The General Scholarship Fund will be used to help additional and/or partial scholarship applicants receive coverage for the scholarship year. Debbie Reynolds Studio will also choose at least one applicant to sponsor personally for the year.
Late December into January 2022 additional details will be provided to Scholarship recipients including schedule requirements.
Program runs February 12, 2022 - December 10, 2022. (Holiday/Break Schedules TBA)
Final Virtual Showcase December 10, 2022.
