Yes. Most classes have the following limits:
Vocal Classes - 4 minimum (8 max)
Acting Classes - 5 minimum (no max)
Dance Classes - 10 minimum (no max)
**It is possible to hold classes below the minimum, however, the price equivalent of the minimum listed must be met.**
We highly recommend a non-participating staff member from your studio (up to 2 allowed) monitor the class (confirm attendance, help with technical issues, etc).
Any non-participant names must be provided to our instructor before class start.
Most classes are one-hour in length but may be shorter or longer depending on the type of class, age, and/or level. Most specialty dance classes also include a 15-minute Q&A with the teacher following the end of class.
We typically recommend and/or require keeping Youth, Teens, and Adults separate, as well as levels, to help everyone feel comfortable and ensure we can provide a class that is most age and level appropriate.
Some specialty classes are only appropriate for intermediate to advanced dancers.
Our Master Classes are offered via Zoom and through Debbie Reynolds Studio's account.
We will email you a link to the class(es) shortly after confirming date(s) and time(s). This link should not be shared with unauthorized individuals.
Please note: we require all classes to be recorded for the safety and protection of all parties. The recordings are kept secure and never shared in whole or in-part unless discussed and permission has been granted by all parties.
We recommend holding classes in your studio space (or large enough space to accommodate all of your students) so students can have greater interaction with each other, and if possible, to have two devices connected.
For instance, with most acting classes, there should be an "audience" side of the room and a "stage" side. One device should show the "audience" and the other, the "stage", so students can take turns on "stage". Classes can also be held out-of-studio (student's homes) or in certain scenarios a mix of in-studio and out-of-studio may be possible if necessary.
For Dance classes, you will need at least one camera device that can connect to the internet/Zoom (tablet, laptop, etc.) with a large enough monitor/tv for the students to view the teacher. You will need to ensure the speaker on your device/monitor is loud enough to hear the teacher.
For Vocal classes, you will need all of the above, plus a good quality microphone is required.
For Acting classes, you will need all of the above plus one additional camera device connected to Zoom. An omni-directional microphone is highly recommended.
Technical issues are sometimes beyond any of our control and while Zoom is a great means of offering online classes, it can have its glitches and limitations when offering live classes. We do our best to provide the most stable Internet connection possible.
To ensure you and your students have a stable connection we HIGHLY recommend connecting with Ethernet cables and not using WIFI. Should there be technical issues that are highly disruptive to the class we will discuss and determine how to handle the situation best and what is fair for all parties.
Your students pay your studio directly and you pay the agreed-upon rate to Debbie Reynolds Studio. However, if you have limitations in collecting payments and registrations from your students and/or would like us to handle this for you, we would be happy to offer this through our scheduling/payment processing system as an extra service. Additional fees apply. Please inquire for details.
Yes, this is part of the flexibility that creates a win-win for your studio. No flat fees; only pay based on headcount (besides meeting our minimum fees).
You are free to set the rate your students pay and you are guaranteed to make a profit as long as you charge your students more than our fees!
We accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or Venmo. A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required to confirm the class date. The remainder due must be paid before the class starts or within the first 15-minutes of the class.
(The deposit amount is not an additional fee. It will be deducted from the total fee for all students attending.)
If your studio is interested in a series and/or ongoing classes, we have a unique opportunity to create an exclusive partnership with Debbie Reynolds Studio. As a partner, while working with your studio, we will not offer classes to any other studios within your zip code and/or a 10-mile radius.
Our ideal partnership is with studios we can build a long-lasting relationship with. One of our goals is to help studios to expand upon their current curriculum (not to step on what is already offered). Partnering with Debbie Reynolds Studio can provide your studio with a unique and competitive edge over other studios in your area!
If interested in discussing exclusive partnership possibilities, please email us at info@drstudiosonline.com.
